Description
A trio of vintage pressed glass citrus reamers in varying shades of green. The set consists of three distinct forms characteristic of American Depression-era kitchenware. Two of the reamers exhibit a vibrant green fluorescence when exposed to ultraviolet light, confirming their composition as uranium glass. The third reamer is made of a deeper green glass and displays a more localized, muted fluorescence. The largest reamer features a rounded body decorated with wide vertical flutes and includes a large loop handle and a deep pouring spout. The medium-sized reamer is distinguished by a molded geometric block or waffle pattern around the exterior rim and a short tab handle. The third reamer, in a darker forest green, features a flat tab handle and a base decorated with concentric molded rings surrounding the central fluted cone. All three pieces are manufactured using the pressed glass technique and feature integrated pouring spouts. No embossed manufacturer marks or signatures are present on the items. Each piece bears a small green adhesive inventory sticker with handwritten digits: 46 on the large reamer and 97 on the medium and small reamers.
