Description
An assortment of mid-20th century American-made glass Christmas ornaments manufactured by Shiny Brite (Max Eckardt & Sons). This collection is presented in two cardboard boxes and includes one original illustrated lid. The lid, printed in green and tan, features the Shiny Brite trademark and a graphic of Uncle Sam shaking hands with Santa Claus above the text American Made and Glass Christmas Tree Ornaments. The first box contains a variety of spherical ornaments in vibrant shades of magenta, gold, and silvered glass, many featuring white stenciled patterns such as stars and geometric bands, alongside a single gold-toned ribbed spindle ornament. The second box features specialty shapes and finishes, including a blue sphere stenciled with the words Silent night and stars, an indent ornament with a miniature deer figure in a diorama setting, a tiered conical ornament in silver and teal, and a red and black lantern-shaped piece. Several ornaments exhibit frosted snow accents or hand-painted stripes. All ornaments retain their metal caps.
