Lot 110:
Description
A trio of antique tintypes (ferrotypes) featuring various subjects from the late 19th century. The collection includes a large-format bust-length portrait of a man with a full beard wearing a jacket and vest; a seated studio portrait of a young boy dressed in a three-piece suit holding a cane; and a smaller full-length group portrait of a man, woman, and infant posed before a painted studio backdrop with a decorative wicker stand. The images are produced on dark lacquered iron plates. The reverse of the mid-sized plate features a small pink sticker with the handwritten number 110. The largest plate retains adhesive tape remnants on the verso. A small hole is punched through the lower right corner of the smallest plate.
