Description
This is a vertical rectangular advertising sign for L&M Filters cigarettes, produced for the Liggett & Myers Tobacco Co. The sign is constructed from painted embossed steel. The front features a vibrant red field with a large central blue circle containing two three-dimensional embossed cigarette packages: a flip-top box and a soft pack. The top of the sign displays the slogan Live Modern in stylized yellow and white lettering. The text Box or Pack appears in white between the packages, and the bottom features the phrase Exciting taste and flavor! in yellow. Each pack is detailed with the L&M brand logo, a crown crest, and the text THE MIRACLE TIP and L&M FILTERS. The bottom of each pack includes the manufacturer name LIGGETT & MYERS TOBACCO CO. The reverse side is finished in a matte gray paint, showing the indented forms of the embossed front graphics. There are pre-drilled holes for mounting at the corners and sides. Approximately 18 x 12 inches.
