Description
This composite oil lamp features a mold-blown green satin glass shade with a diamond-quilted pattern and a crimped or ruffled upper rim. The shade sits above a clear glass chimney and metal burner assembly. The font is constructed of opaque glass with a graduated cream, yellow, and pale blue ground, decorated with a hand-painted floral motif depicting purple berries and green leaves. The lower portion of the glass font is molded with a vertical fluted pattern. The lamp rests on a cast metal base with a bronze-toned patina, characterized by a domed and fluted design. The burner assembly includes a side filler cap. While visually consistent with models produced by the Mantle Lamp Co. (Aladdin), such as the diamond quilt pattern, no maker’s marks or signatures were observed during inspection.
