Description
This lot features two original metal advertising signs representing iconic American commercial bread brands, likely dating to the mid-20th century. The first sign is a rectangular advertisement for Wonder Bread, produced for the Continental Baking Company. It depicts the brand’s classic balloon logo?a stylized loaf of bread decorated with red, yellow, and blue circles. The text reads WONDER ENRICHED BREAD in red and black block lettering, accompanied by the slogan Helps Build Strong Bodies 12 Ways!. This sign is constructed of painted sheet metal and features four metal mounting grommets, one in each corner. The second sign is a horizontal rectangular advertisement for Sunbeam Bread, associated with the Quality Bakers of America. It features the Little Miss Sunbeam mascot within a red lace-edged oval. The brand name Sunbeam Bread is rendered in blue cursive script above the phrase Soft and Fresh in red serif lettering. This sign is also made of painted sheet metal with four mounting grommets. Both signs have plain, unpainted reverse sides.
