Description
A horizontal rectangular advertising sign for Adore floor and carpet runners, manufactured by the Crown Rubber Company of Fremont, Ohio. The sign is constructed of lithographed metal, likely tin or steel, and features a two-tone layout. The left section has a white ground with the Crown brand logo at the top left, which includes a crown over a triangle. Large magenta serif lettering reads Adore, followed by floor and carpet RUNNERS in black and magenta sans-serif text. A magenta circle indicates a price area with text specifying per running foot and 27 inch width. The right section features a solid magenta ground with the slogan Save your floors and cleaning chores! above four black and white illustrated panels. These panels depict the runners in use for Hall and Vestibules, Traffic Areas (showing a child watching a puppet show on a mid-century television), Mud Rooms, and Stairs.
