Description
This lot comprises three distinct edged weapons. The first is a traditional Indian kukri featuring a recurved steel blade with a traditional notch at the base. The blade is stamped with the word INDIA. It has a carved dark hardwood grip with central ridges and a flared pommel. The accompanying scabbard is made of wood covered in leather with a brass chape. The second item is a short sword or hanger with a curved, single-edged steel blade and a clipped point. The blade is constructed with an offset or cranked tang at the guard. The hilt consists of a steel D-guard knuckle bow, an oval cross-guard, and a ribbed grip made of wood or horn. The third item is a traditional Moroccan koummya dagger. It features a curved single-edged blade and a waisted hardwood hilt in the peacock style with an embossed white-metal cap. The scabbard is made of white-metal and is decorated with chased floral and geometric patterns. It includes two suspension rings and a braided khaki cord baldrick with tassels.
