Description
A rectangular embossed metal advertising sign for Lakko Poultry Feeds, produced for the Lake of the Woods Milling Company Limited. The sign features a black background with a prominent yellow border. The central graphic displays the brand name LAKKO in large, embossed white letters with red outlines, situated on a black banner. This banner is set against a circular motif with a red and black sunburst pattern, bordered by the text LAKE OF THE WOODS and MILLING COMPANY LIMITED. A small white ribbon reading CANADA is located below the main logo. The sign is further decorated with illustrations of two white and grey roosters with red combs, two yellow chicks in the lower left, and a cluster of five yellow eggs in the lower right. Large yellow block lettering at the bottom reads POULTRY FEEDS, underscored by a white footer stating BETTER CHICKENS – MORE EGGS. The sign is constructed from embossed sheet metal and includes four pre-drilled mounting holes, one in each corner. The reverse side is finished in a uniform white coating, showing the indentations from the front embossing. This item is a contemporary reproduction of a Canadian agricultural advertising design.
