Description
This collection consists of several hand tools, including two complete hatchets and two detached tool heads. The group features a Hudson Bay pattern axe head with a side stamp reading GENUINE Norlund in script. Also included is a carpenter’s half-hatchet head with a hammer poll and nail-pulling notch, stamped GERMANTOWN MASTERBUILDER. One complete carpenter’s hatchet features a steel head stamped DROP FORGED MADE IN and is mounted to a wooden handle with a green-painted butt end. The collection is rounded out by a camp hatchet with a curved wooden handle and a steel head displaying faint, worn markings. The tool heads are constructed from forged steel.
