Description
An early to mid-20th-century smoking stand or humidor table, attributed to the H.T. Cushman Mfg. Co. of Bennington, Vermont. The stand is constructed from dark-stained wood, featuring four turned legs joined by a sturdy H-stretcher. The top surface integrates several metal smoking accessories, including three pipe rests of varying designs and a vertical cylindrical holder for matches or a lighter. A recessed central area holds a removable circular ashtray insert made of green glass. To one side is a raised wooden humidor box with a hinged lid that opens to reveal a light-colored interior lining. A single small frieze drawer with a simple metal pull knob is located at the front of the stand. The piece is accompanied by a handwritten note on a blue sticky pad that references the H.T. Cushman Mfg. Co.
