Lot 274:
Description
This lot features two Fisher-Price wooden pull toys characterized by their lithographed paper overlays. The first item is a Fisher-Price No. 156 Circus Wagon. It is constructed with a wooden body and four light blue wooden wheels. The lithography depicts various circus scenes including an elephant on a ball, a monkey on a trapeze, a tiger, and a piano keyboard. The toy features a large ringmaster figure whose arms move in a pointing and conducting motion when the toy is operated. At the rear, four vertical pipes are topped with clown faces. The side of the wagon is clearly marked with the manufacturer Fisher-Price Circus Wagon No. 156 and includes the period Fisher-Price Toys logo. The second item is a Disney-licensed Fisher-Price Donald Duck Xylophone pull toy, model No. 177. It features a cutout figure of Donald Duck in his classic sailor attire, with Donald duck printed on his hat. The figure is mounted on a blue wooden base with four red wooden wheels. In front of the figure is a four-key metal xylophone. The toy utilizes a pull-activated mechanism where metal rods connected to the axle cause Donald’s arms to move up and down, striking the xylophone keys. The Fisher-Price Toys logo is visible on the lower section of the Donald Duck figure.
