A collection of nine miniature and commemorative trowels, including several Masonic ceremonial pieces and various industrial advertising items. The collection is professionally mounted in a black-finished rectangular shadowbox display case with a glass front and a white fibrous backing. The Masonic items feature the square and compasses symbol with the letter G and various lodge information. These include a silver-toned trowel for George Whaite, Past Master of Rosemead Lodge No. 702 (1960); West Covina Lodge No. 758, California; Orient Lodge No. 321, Waverly, Ohio; and a ceremonial trowel for Donald Luneke of Trotwood Lodge No. 755 with dates for the Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craft, and Master Mason degrees in 1962. The advertising and industrial pieces include a brass-toned trowel for City Tire Store (D. W. Long) with a phone number; a Service Supply Co. trowel from York, Pennsylvania, advertising building materials and Ugite road oil; a 50th-anniversary commemorative brass trowel for The Toledo Plaster and Supply Co. (1902-1952); and a Crume Brick Co. trowel from Dayton, Ohio, featuring a graphic brick logo. The tools are constructed with metal blades in both silver-toned and brass-toned finishes and feature turned wooden handles in various black, brown, and reddish-brown stains.
