Description
This lot features two manual saws characteristic of early to mid-20th-century logging and carpentry tools. The first is a two-man crosscut saw, often referred to as a felling or bucking saw. It consists of a long, crescent-contoured steel blade featuring aggressive, deep-set crosscut teeth and two turned wooden handles mounted upright at each terminal end. The second item is a smaller one-man hand saw featuring a tapered steel blade and a shaped wooden pistol-grip handle secured by three metal fasteners. No maker marks, brand etchings, or patent dates are visible on the metal or wooden components of either tool. The lot includes a paper tag identifying the items from Atlee Raber Auctions and Middlefield Antiques.
