Description
A traditional Mexican Saltillo style woven serape blanket. The textile features a wide central horizontal band of brown, bordered by multiple horizontal stripes of varying widths in a spectrum of colors including blue, red, pink, white, purple, black, and yellow. Several of the stripes display a saltillo gradient effect where colors blend into one another. The blanket is made of a heavy-weight weave, typically composed of a blend of cotton, wool, or synthetic fibers. The ends are finished with knotted white fringe. No manufacturer or origin marks are visible on the item.
