Lot 83:
Pair Articulated Painted Carved Wood Teddy Bears
Description
A pair of articulated teddy bear figurines, attributed to the De Vore Country Bear Collection. Each figure is hand-carved from wood with a visible grain, featuring a natural finish on the head, paws, and feet. The bears are hand-painted with detailed clothing. One bear is depicted in a blue dress with a white floral pattern and a painted patch on the lower left bearing the initials BC. The second bear wears blue overalls over a yellow shirt, featuring a red CBC logo on the bib and painted white stitching details. Both bears have inset dark blue button-style eyes and five-way articulated limbs joined by internal wooden pegs. While no manufacturer label is present, the painted initials are characteristic of the De Vore collection.
