Description
This lot consists of a matching pair of three-dimensional framed wall sculptures. Each piece features a stylized botanical arrangement of thin, curving stems supporting various lily pad-shaped leaves and flower buds. The components are constructed from cut and shaped sheet metal welded to thin metal rods. The sculptures are finished in a multi-color palette including brick red, ochre yellow, olive green, and verdigris green with a distressed, mottled application to simulate an aged patina. Each assembly is housed within a deep, open-back rectangular frame with a black finish. An oval adhesive label on the reverse of one metal leaf is printed with the mark MADE IN CHINA. Each frame is equipped with two metal keyhole hanging brackets at the top corners of the reverse.
