Description
This 10-gallon stoneware crock is attributed to the Robinson-Ransbottom Pottery Co. (RRP Co.) of Roseville, Ohio. The storage vessel features a cylindrical form with a thick, slightly flared rim and a flat, unglazed top edge. The exterior is finished with a creamy-white Bristol-style glaze, while the interior is coated in a dark brown Albany-type slip glaze. The front is decorated with a cobalt blue stenciled mark depicting a stylized crown with the number 10 contained within a central circle, indicating its capacity.
