Description
This vintage interactive play set is the Mattel A Strange Change Toy featuring The Lost World, copyrighted 1967. The set includes the primary Time Machine unit and its original color-illustrated cardboard box. The machine is constructed of molded red plastic with a silver-colored front control panel and a clear plastic heating chamber. A metal mesh screen is located at the center of the heating zone. The device functions as an electrical heating element intended to expand compressed plastic capsules into dinosaur figures. A manual compression lever is integrated into the unit. Visible markings include the circular Mattel, Inc. Toymakers logo on both the machine and the box. Raised text on the red plastic body reads Heat Activator Zone and includes a burn warning.
