Description
This is a vintage Cape Kennedy Carry-All Action Play Set manufactured by Louis Marx & Co., Inc. in Glen Dale, West Virginia. The item consists of a lithographed tin carrying case that unfolds to serve as a play environment. The lid features vibrant graphics of a space launch site, including rockets, gantries, and a helicopter. The interior of the case is lithographed with a green and gray ground-level scene and chain-link fence patterns on the side panels. Included within the case is an assortment of molded plastic accessories, including white and silver-tone rockets and missiles, white plastic gantry components, and several red and gray vehicle and launcher parts. The manufacturer name, location, style number 4625, and copyright date of MCMLXVIII (1968) are lithographed on the front lid.
