Description
An assortment of seven vintage straight razors featuring a variety of American and English manufacturers. The collection includes razors with carbon steel blades and scales composed of black hard rubber or composite, wood-grain pattern celluloid, and a blue and red marbled celluloid. Manufacturers identified by tang stamps include the George W. Korn Razor Manufacturing Company of Little Valley, New York; Wade and Butcher of Sheffield, England, featuring the B and cross/arrow trademarks; the Shumate Razor Company with the mark Shumate’s -Barber-; and Herold Brothers Company of Cleveland, Ohio. One razor is marked DE LUXE on the tang. The items are housed in a flexible storage roll with a textured black faux-leather exterior and a mustard-yellow plush interior lining with individual slots. The set is presented in a wooden storage drawer with a label for Palco Manufacturing Company of Belvidere, Illinois.
