Description
This assortment consists of a variety of antique brass hardware and vintage industrial tools. Included is a cast brass bell, likely for maritime use, featuring a relief seal with a United States eagle and the letters U S. The bell retains its original brass clapper and has a mounting hole in the finial. Also present is a turned wooden tool case from the Millers Falls Co. of Greenfield, Mass., which features twelve storage holes and an original paper label. The lot includes a brass plumb bob with an attached cord, stored in its original fitted leather holster with a buckle strap and metal snap closure. Additional items include an ornate cast brass wall bracket with scrolling designs and a mounting plate, and a round-body cast brass padlock equipped with a sliding horizontal keyhole cover. Completing the collection is an A-frame stand made of perforated sheet brass with two cylindrical sleeves at the peak.
