Description
This lot features a wall-mounted wooden shadow box display cabinet, a vertical wooden sign, and a variety of hand-painted folk art figurines. The display case is constructed from dark-stained wood with a hinged glass front door and divided interior shelving. Within the case is a group of small wooden figurines in a country primitive style, including representations of rabbits, cats, bears, cottages, and domestic items. One figure is shaped as a milk jug with the painted inscription MILK 10 cent and another as a heart with the word Welcome. Resting atop the cabinet is a small grapevine wreath and a series of miniature wooden buildings. The accompanying vertical sign is made of natural-finish wood with a green-painted perimeter and applied white block letters spelling BASKETS.
