This collection of Lucky Strike brand advertising memorabilia includes a framed advertising mirror and three lithographed tobacco tins. The framed mirror features graphics from the famous 1929 Reach for a Lucky instead of a sweet marketing campaign, depicting a woman in profile against a larger dark silhouette. Printed text on the glass includes The Shock of Facing what your figure may become, Avoid That Future Shadow, and It’s toasted. The mirror is housed in a polished chrome-style metal frame with a fiberboard backing, consistent with late 20th-century commercial reproductions. The trio of tobacco tins represents the brand’s early green era, which predates the packaging redesign of the 1940s. All three tins are constructed of lithographed tinplate and bear the R.A. Patterson Tobacco Co. markings from Richmond, Virginia. The assortment includes a small pocket-style Genuine Roll Cut tin, a medium flat Lucky Strike Cut Plug tin, and a larger box-type tin labeled The Celebrated Lucky Strike Cut Plug. The large tin features manufacturing details for Factory No. 42 in the 2nd District of Virginia and identifies The American Tobacco Co. as the successor to R.A. Patterson.
