Description
This collector portrait doll is part of the Effanbee Doll Company’s The Presidents Collection, depicting Harry S. Truman, the 33rd President of the United States. Produced in 1988 as part of a strictly limited one-year production, this model 7906 doll features a bisque porcelain head, hands, and feet with a stuffed cloth body. The head has molded and painted reddish-blonde hair and fixed, painted blue eyes. The doll is dressed in its original presidential attire, including a navy blue pinstriped double-breasted suit, white dress shirt, red bow tie, and a white pocket square. Accessories include removable wire-rimmed spectacles, a grey felt fedora with a blue ribbon band, and black lace-up dress shoes. The doll is mounted on a white metal stand. Original manufacturer hangtags are present, including one titled The Buck Stops Here! and a descriptive identification tag on the reverse. Height: 15.5 inches.
