Description
A bisque porcelain sculptural bust depicting the head of a bald eagle, featuring hand-painted and glazed eyes and beak. The plumage is rendered in matte white bisque with textured feathering. The head is mounted on a rectangular wooden plinth with a beveled top edge and a dark reddish-brown mahogany-style finish. Centered on the wooden base is a brass-tone metal nameplate inscribed with the title The Presidential Eagle in cursive script. A blue factory mark is visible on the porcelain stem where it meets the wooden base, though the characters are not clearly legible. This piece is characteristic of late 20th-century American wildlife collectibles.
