Description
Lights and rotates. 9×21. This vintage breweriana advertising piece is a Stroh’s Beer promotional hanging lamp designed to resemble a nautical port and starboard navigation lantern. The fixture features a cylindrical brass-tone metal body with two vertical support struts and a top bale handle. The central Fresnel-style lens is divided into two sections, one red and one green. The upper brass-tone band features the printed text WELCOME ABOARD in white block lettering on one side and from one beer lover to another in white serif font on the opposite side. Below the slogan, small text reads THE STROH BREWERY CO. DETROIT MICHIGAN. The lower base section is decorated with the Stroh’s brand logo in red script and the word BEER in red block capitals. The top chimney section features an embossed metal crest displaying the Stroh’s brewery lion and crown logo. The unit is equipped with a gold-tone hanging chain and an integrated electrical power cord.
