Description
A vintage fruit or wine press manufactured by the Berarducci Bros. Mfg. Co. in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. The unit features a traditional basket design consisting of vertically oriented hardwood slats held in place by two red-painted metal bands. These bands are equipped with hinged latch closures for disassembly. The basket assembly sits on a circular cast iron collection tray supported by three splayed cast iron legs. The pressing mechanism includes a central threaded screw and a cast iron ratcheting head assembly, also finished in red paint. One leg features embossed lettering that reads BERARDUCCI BRO’S MFG CO MCKEESPORT PA. The item is displayed with decorative faux grape clusters and a strand of electric miniature lights, which are modern additions.
