Description
This collection features hand-painted Americana-style sculptures produced by Michael Garman Productions in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The group includes four distinct figures depicting Western and frontier themes. One figure portrays a cowboy tipping his hat while holding a western saddle, with the base incised MICHAEL GARMAN and dated 1982. A second figure depicts a kneeling man in denim overalls and a blue shirt holding a lantern. A third figure represents a Native American warrior holding a spear, detailed with a feathered headpiece and a patterned loincloth. The final figure is a gambling dealer wearing a red vest and top hat, positioned behind a podium with a spinning prize wheel and a sign reading MINIMUM $2.00 BET. The pieces are constructed from a cast composition material and are finished with detailed hand-painting. Several bases are incised with the artist’s name, and the underside of one sculpture retains a gold foil manufacturer’s label identifying the maker and production location in America.
