Description
An antique wooden sled constructed in the Davos style. The piece features steam-bent wood runners that curve upward to a joined point at the front. The seat area is composed of three longitudinal wood slats supported by two sets of vertical struts. The structure is reinforced with horizontal wood cross-members and diagonal metal stabilizing rods. A natural fiber pull rope is knotted around the forward cross-brace. The wood possesses a dark aged patina. No manufacturer marks, patent dates, or stamps are present on the object. Dimensions: Approximately 40 inches in length.
