Description
This item is a folk art style hand-carved wooden horse pull toy mounted on a wheeled platform. The horse figure is constructed from several carved wooden sections joined together at the neck, shoulders, and haunches. The body is finished in an off-white paint, with a dark brown carved mane and tail, and black paint applied to the muzzle and hooves. The horse is permanently mounted to a shaped wooden base with a dark brown stain. The underside features two wooden cross-members that serve as mounts for the axles. The toy is equipped with four spoked cast iron wheels. No manufacturer marks, labels, or signatures are present. A paper auction tag is attached to the rear left leg with string.
