Lot 108:
Description
This three-panel set of folk art wall hangings consists of a larger central panel and two narrower flanking panels. Each piece features padded fabric appliqu?s mounted onto a coarse burlap ground, enclosed within simple wooden frames. The central panel is decorated in a Pennsylvania Dutch folk style, depicting two inward-facing birds, hearts, and stylized floral elements, including a central tulip motif. The two side panels feature a symmetrical vertical arrangement of a central heart flanked by teardrop shapes. The appliqu?s are constructed from various printed cotton fabrics in shades of pink, blue, brown, and white, finished with machine-stitched satin borders. Metal hanging eyelets are attached to the upper edges of the two side panels. A dark cursive signature reading Valerie is located in the lower right corner of the decorative area on the central panel. The reverse of the panels shows plain burlap backing over wooden supports.
