Description
This antique No. 10 cast iron skillet was manufactured by the Wapak Hollow Ware Company of Wapakoneta, Ohio. The piece is sand-cast with two integrated pour spouts and a handle featuring a teardrop-shaped hanging hole. The underside of the skillet displays the incised maker mark WAPAK at the top center. Below the maker name, a faint ghost mark reading ERIE is visible, indicating the manufacturer utilized an older Griswold pattern for the mold. A large incised number 10 is located at the base of the underside. This skillet dates to the early 20th century, approximately 1903 to 1926.
