Description
This decorative garden ornament is designed in the form of a traditional farm windmill, attributed to Red Carpet Studios based on the distinctive design of the rooster finial and blade configuration. The sculpture features a four-sided tripod tower base constructed from welded iron or steel rods. The top of the tower supports a rotating assembly consisting of a ten-blade windmill wheel and a directional weather vane. The wheel blades are made of a silver-toned metal, likely galvanized steel or aluminum. The vane assembly is topped with a cutout sheet metal rooster figure and terminates in a large tail vane. Except for the metallic blades, the entire piece is finished with an intentional distressed and oxidized rusted patina. A modern auction inventory tag from Jones Roller Auctions is attached to the frame.
