Description
This antique mechanical pull bell, commonly associated with use in boxing rings or as a shop entry alarm, features a large domed brass gong secured to a rectangular cast iron mounting plate. The backplate includes four pre-drilled holes designed for wall installation. The bell is operated via a mechanical pull-chain mechanism consisting of a multi-link iron chain attached to a pivoted cast iron lever. This lever is engineered to actuate a clapper against the interior of the gong when the chain is pulled. The chain terminates in a classic turned wood handle with a smooth, dark surface. No manufacturer names, brand marks, or patent dates are visible on the metal components. A modern paper lot tag is attached to the chain with handwritten text.
