Description
A polychrome painted cast iron doorstop depicting a Dutch girl in traditional attire. The figure is styled with a winged cap, a blue bodice with yellow lacing over a white chemise, and a long yellow apron. She is shown wearing wooden clogs and carrying a shoulder yoke with two suspended water buckets. The figure is mounted on an integral, flat rectangular base. The reverse of the casting is hollow-backed and incised with the alphanumeric mark CM 102.
