June Antiques and Collectibles Consignment
Lot 346:
Description
This lot features three miniature two-part lidded dishes, traditionally used as individual salt cellars, designed in the form of a hen on a nest. The collection includes one cobalt blue, one amber, and one light green translucent pressed glass set. Each piece consists of an oval base with a basketweave or diamond-quilted exterior pattern and a scalloped rim, accompanied by a lid molded in the shape of a sitting hen with a stippled surface texture. These items are in the style of glassware produced by various American manufacturers such as Boyd, Degenhart, and Mosser, though no specific maker marks are visible in the provided images. A small circular indentation is present on the interior center of the bases. Dimensions: Miniature scale.
