Description
This lot consists of threecostume wigs in their original retail display boxes, dating to the early 1970s. The set includes one wig in blonde and two wigs in black, all featuring a long hair style. The hair fiber is identified on the packaging as Herculon, a brand of polypropylene fiber. The wigs are housed in cardboard boxes with clear plastic film windows. The box design features a black background decorated with small yellow stars and bold typography reading S-t-r-e-t-c-h-a-b-l-e WIG. A psychedelic-style wavy border in orange and yellow tones frames the central window. The bottom front edge of the packaging includes the text soft…snug fit * flame retarded *. The end panels of the boxes provide technical details, including the style name LONG HAIR, style number 2000-W, color (either BLONDE or BLACK), the fiber brand HERCULON, and the phrase ONE ONLY. Retail price stickers from BH-ST C VILLE are present on the boxes, marking the original price at $1.00. Handwritten ink notations are visible on two of the boxes: the center box containing the blonde wig is marked Daphne 1973 on the film, and the box on the right is marked Daphne 1974 on a small attachment near the window.
