Description
Aprofessional-grade binocular laboratory microscope, attributed to Carl Zeiss Jena. The instrument features a heavy cast metal stand with a black enamel finish and bright-finished adjustment hardware. It is equipped with a binocular viewing head and includes two eyepieces, with the left eyepiece marked 12.5x. The microscope features a large mechanical stage with coaxial controls for X-Y specimen positioning. Dual coarse and fine focusing knobs are mounted on the limb. The base contains an integrated electrical illumination system with a grey power cord terminating in a two-pin European-style plug. The rotating nosepiece is present but does not have any objective lenses installed. The microscope is housed in a vertical wooden storage case featuring finger-jointed construction, a front-hinged door with a functional lock and key, and a black molded top carrying handle.
