Description
Thisrailroad lantern was manufactured by Adlake and features a dark-patinated metal frame. The top cap is embossed with the manufacturer name ADLAKE. The shoulder of the lantern is embossed with the characters B&O R.R., indicating its historical use by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. The lantern is fitted with an amber glass globe housed within a protective wire cage. The design includes a perforated chimney for ventilation, a wire bale handle for carrying, and a tiered base with a perforated bottom section. A modern paper auction tag is attached to the bale.
