Description
Thiscast iron skillet, size number 9, is part of the Victor line produced by the Griswold Manufacturing Company in Erie, Pennsylvania. The vessel is made of cast iron and features a traditional circular body with two pour spouts and a handle with a teardrop-shaped hanging hole. The base of the skillet is designed with a recessed heat ring. Several incised markings are visible on the underside: arched lettering at the top reads VICTOR, a straight line across the center reads CAST IRON SKILLET, and a size number 9 is located near the bottom edge. A circular logo is centered on the base, though it is partially obscured by carbonization.
