Description
This collection consists of three American glazed earthenware pieces: a teapot and two pitchers. The first item is a McCoy Bermuda style ridged teapot featuring a globular form with horizontal molded rings on the body and inset lid. The exterior is finished in a dark brown glaze while the lid has a contrasting tan or honey-colored glaze. The base is incised with McCoy in script, model number 649, and USA. The second item is a Homer Laughlin China Company Fiesta commemorative Millennium disc water pitcher. It features a cobalt blue glaze and a white transfer-printed graphic on one side that reads Millennium The Year 2000. The base has an impressed fiesta script mark, Made in U.S.A., and an embossed circular factory mark. The third item is a cylindrical utility pitcher with a flared rim, a pinched spout, and an angular handle. The exterior is finished in a medium blue glaze, while the interior and rim feature a speckled off-white glaze. The unglazed base is unmarked and shows three stilt marks from the firing process.
