Description

A woodturning tool designed for use on a lathe, primarily used for roughing and shaping timber. The tool consists of a long, turned hardwood handle finished with a dark stain and a high-gloss coating. A silver-toned metal ferrule reinforces the junction between the handle and the square-section steel shank. The working tip features a replaceable square carbide cutter insert held in place by a single hex screw. The side of the steel shank near the tip contains three additional set screw holes. The butt of the wooden handle is drilled with a circular hole for hanging storage. No maker names, brand marks, or country-of-origin stamps are visible on the object.
