Description
This color lithograph on paper depicts a stylized, melancholic portrait of a young girl with dark hair, wide eyes, and her chin resting in her hands. The central figure is surrounded by a background of abstract floral elements and soft tonal washes in shades of cerulean blue, golden yellow, and moss green. A pencil signature and date are located in the lower right margin, reading Stern 71. The work is hand-numbered in pencil in the lower left margin as 35/84. The print is presented under glass with a double mat in yellow and brown, housed within a dark wood frame. The signature and stylistic elements are consistent with the work of Bernard Stern. 31×26
