Description
This collection consists of several costume jewelry brooches in various figurative and modernist styles. One rectangular brooch in silver-toned base metal features seven stylized humanoid figures with stamped geometric decorations including spirals, zigzags, and concentric squares. The reverse has a horizontal pin with a safety catch and an impressed mark that is not legible as a name. A modernist openwork brooch in gold-toned base metal features a swirling teardrop form with a white enamel finish on the front face and a rolling safety clasp on the reverse. A gold-toned brooch shaped like a five-petal flower features a scalloped mesh texture and a solid-finish curved stem; it is impressed on the reverse with a mark reading TRIFARI followed by a copyright symbol. An S-shaped ribbon brooch in gold-toned base metal displays a brushed finish on the front and a linear ribbed texture on the reverse, where an impressed mark reads MONET preceded by a copyright symbol.
