Description
This lot features two early 20th-century American graniteware soap dishes constructed from stamped sheet steel with a fired-on mottled porcelain enamel finish. The first item is a two-piece wall-mounted soap dish with a blue and white swirled enamel pattern. It includes a backplate with two keyhole mounting slots and a removable perforated drainage tray finished in a dark grey and black mottled enamel. The second item is a two-piece countertop soap dish featuring a classic green and white swirled enamel pattern. It consists of a deep rectangular basin and a matching perforated top drainage insert. Both items retain their original inserts. Paper auction inventory stickers are present on both pieces, including numbers 313, 243, and 282.
