Description
An assortment of decorative and novelty items composed primarily of cast iron and metal alloys. The collection includes a cast iron figure group depicting four seated individuals in a folk art style, characterized by a uniform heavy rusted patina. A Scottish Highlander wall ornament is rendered in a cast brass or bronze alloy, depicting a bagpiper in traditional dress with mounting holes at the top and base. The lot features a cast iron octopus wall hook with a stylized form where the tentacles serve as hooks. Also included is a novelty bottle opener in the form of a four eyed man with a mustache and buck teeth, constructed of painted cast iron with visible remnants of black and yellow polychrome. Completing the lot is a small rectangular cast iron box with a hinged lid. The lid is decorated in relief with a dragon and includes the Chinese character Fu, which translates to good fortune or blessing.
