Description
This lot contains a collection of mid-century tin lithographed toys. Featured is an Ohio Art number 158 Circus toy tea set decorated with vibrant illustrations of elephants, trick riders on horses, monkeys with balloons, and clowns. The set includes a handled tray, plates, saucers, cups, and a pitcher. Also included is a circus-themed hand bell marked U.S. Metal Toy Mfg. Co. Made in U.S.A., featuring a ringmaster and showgirl and fitted with an orange plastic handle and metal wire clapper. Completing the lot is a tin globe coin bank with a geopolitical world map and a coin slot at the top. The base of the bank features logos for various historical airlines including TWA, Sabena, Braniff International Airways, Continental Air Lines, Delta Air Lines, Eastern Air Lines, Capital Airlines, Northeast Airlines, Western Airlines, Aeronaves de Mexico, American Airlines, National Airlines, North Central Airlines, and Air France.
