Description
This is an original Coca-Cola painted metal panel, specifically a lid or access door from a mid-century top-loading soda chest cooler. The front face is finished in characteristic Coca-Cola red and features white painted lettering with the Spencerian script logo centered between the words DRINK and ICE COLD. The panel is constructed from heavy-gauge steel and includes two mounting holes at the top center edge. The reverse side is finished in a faded salmon color and features a centrally mounted horizontal metal handle. This type of component was standard on chest-style coolers manufactured during the 1940s and 1950s by companies such as Westinghouse and Cavalier. 21×14
