Description
Produced for The Walt Disney Co., this vintage holiday tabletop display piece, commonly attributed to Kurt S. Adler, features Mickey Mouse dressed as Santa Claus. The figure is constructed of fabric mache with molded and painted composite components for the head, hands, and boots. Mickey is depicted in a traditional red suit with textured faux-fur trim and a matching Santa hat. He holds a gold-tone bell in his right hand and carries a brown fabric sack over his shoulder filled with miniature decorations including a Christmas tree, a teddy bear, a trumpet, and small doll figures. The underside of the right boot is embossed with The Walt Disney Co. The underside of the left boot retains a gold foil sticker that reads MADE IN TAIWAN R. O. C. This item includes its original color-printed retail box identifying it as a Mickey in Santa Suit Tablepiece. Height: Approximately 11 inches.
